Quilt Coat Care

Caring properly for your quilted garment will allow your clothes to last for generations to come.

Before creating a hat, dress, coat, vest, or fanny pack, the quilt is deeply cleaned by CJ Sews!

We recommend washing items as infrequently as possible, perhaps once a year. Hand washing with a mild detergent and laying the item flat to dry is recommended. Spot treat with stain remover as necessary.

Antique and vintage textiles were not created with modern washing machines in mind. Caring for these wearable art pieces is a labor of love that honors the time and effort sewn into these garments that are handmade twice!
